mrv2 (formerly mrViewer) is an open-source professional video player, image viewer, and review tool for VFX, animation, and computer graphics.

It is the second generation of the popular mrViewer flipbook player.

You can use mrViewer as a Reverse Video Player to play videos backwards / forward, draw lines, add text to video in real-time (Grease Pencil), change gamma levels/RGB values.

Other features include EDL playback, vectorscope that shows you how saturated is your image, Animated GIF, Academy Color Encoding System (ACES), Passive 3D Stereo Support (anaglyphs, side by side, interlaced, checkerboard), High-dynamic-range imaging (HDRI) support and more. mrViewer supports many of the most popular image and video formats such as WMV, AVI, MOV, PSD, JPG, PNG, MAP, and others.
