How do I view a .jxl file?
To open .jxl files, install a Windows Imaging Component (WIC) codec for JPEG XL, such as jpegxl-wic or jxl-winthumb. Once installed, you can view .jxl images directly in Windows Explorer, Microsoft Photo Viewer, or Microsoft Photos without additional software.

Alternatively, you can use the JPEG XL Viewer extension for Chrome to open .jxl files in your browser.
