VidCoder is an open-source application for DVD/Blu-ray ripping and video transcoding, powered by HandBrake’s encoding engine.By leveraging the HandBrake library, VidCoder offers a richer and more intuitive interface than the official HandBrake Windows GUI.
It supports batch conversion of DVDs, ISO files, VIDEO_TS folders, and Blu-rays to MP4 or MKV formats. Ideal for ripping movies or re-encoding video files, VidCoder provides a clean, user-friendly interface and features like subtitle support, configurable presets, and queue/pause options.
Additional features include H.264 and H.265 encoding, 2-pass encoding, filters, instant previews, and support for various formats and containers like MPEG-4, VP8, Theora, MP4, and MKV.
