XtremeMP is a cross-platform media player and visualizer - written in 100% pure Java with an emphasis on music visualizations. It provides the user with a graphical interface for choosing music files and playlists - and includes support for many audio file formats including .spx, .snd, .aifc, .aif, .wav, .au, .flac, .mp1, .mp2, .mp3, .ogg, .aac, and .m4a. Xtreme Media Player features include support for playlist formats like xspf, m3u and pls, remote music playback via url, read general tag info from different audio formats (title, artist , album, genre, track number, year, comments), playlist manager with drag and drop support, skinnable interface, keyboard shortcuts...etc. A key feature of XtremeMP is the capability to view visualizations: full spectrum, white full spectrum, quarter spectrum, white quarter spectrum, full color spectrogram, quarter spectrogram quarter color spectrogram, piano roll, spectrum bars, volume meter, stereograph, simple oscilloscope, stereo oscilloscope, oscilloscope lines, waveform, stereo waveform, water balloons.
