Real Alternative 2.0.2

This codec pack will let you play RealMedia files without having to install RealPlayer, RealTimes or RealOne Player. All RealMedia formats (.ra, .rm, .rmvb, .ram, .rpm, .rv,.rp, .rt, .smi, .smil, etc.) are supported, including streaming content and embedded RealMedia content in web pages. Compared to RealPlayer, Real Alternative Codecs are quick and easy to install, use a small amount of memory and CPU, no background processes, and no advertising. RealMedia .smi and .smil files are not fully supported, only the first part will usually be played. This is a limitation of the current Media Player Classic. The RealMedia Browser plugin supports Internet Explorer, Opera, Google Chrome, Mozilla and Netscape.

The latest version of Real Alternative contains Media Player Classic - a freeware media player that supports both Real Alternative, RealMedia Codecs, RealMedia plugin for Internet Explorer, RealMedia plugin for Opera/Mozilla/Netscape and the RealMedia DirectShow splitter.

Real Alternative Lite does not include MPC-HC, that's the only difference between Real Alternative and Real Alternative Lite. Some people think Real Alternative is bloated, so there is a Real Alternative Lite now.
