OptimFROG 5.100

OptimFROG is a lossless audio codec optimized for very high compression ratios. Its main goal is to reduce at maximum the size of audio files, while permitting bit identical restoration for all input. It is similar with the ZIP compression, but it is highly specialized to compress audio data. OptimFROG usually obtains the best lossless audio compression ratios. For example, users wanting good multiplatform compatibility and robustness (e.g., people sharing live recordings) would favour WavPack or FLAC. Another user, looking for the very highest compression available, would go with OptimFROG. OptimFROG offers support for fully featured input plug-ins for the foobar2000, Winamp, XMPlay, Quintessential Media Player, and other audio players. The OptimFROG.dll file can be found in the Windows 32-bit (Winx86) and Windows 64-bit (Winx64) binary package.

How to install the OptimFROG Winamp Plugin:

Download the OptimFROG Winamp Plugin, unzip and copy in_ofr.dll to:

C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins

and OptimFROG.dll to

C:\Program Files\Winamp

If OptimFROG.dll isn't located in winamp's root folder, Winamp won't detect the input plug-in or you get that error message.

How to install the foobar2000 OptimFROG input plug-in:

Copy foo_input_ofr.dll and OptimFROG.dll into foobar2000/components/
