EAC is a CD audio grabber for archiving your CDs while using as little storage space as possible. EAC will help you to copy (extract/rip) audio tracks, or even parts of them, to the hard disk.

With other audio grabbers you usually need to listen to every grabbed wave because they only do jitter correction. Scratched CDs read on CD-ROM drives often produce distortions. But listening to every extracted audio track is a waste of time. EAC conquer these problems by making use of several technologies like multi-reading with verify and AccurateRip.

EAC features include hidden sector synchronization (jitter correction), audio volume normalization, usage of the ACM Codecs for direct compression, support of external MP3, WMA, FLAC and Ogg Vorbis encoders, batch compression to WAV files and decompression of supported encoded files to WAV, CD player functionality, local CDDB support, Multisession (CD-Extra) support, CD-Write, CD-Text support, ID3 V1.1 tag editor and more.
