AC3 Filter Lite 2.6.0b

AC3Filter is a high quality free audio decoder and processor filter. It allows media players to playback movies with AC3 (WAV files with AC3) and DTS audio tracks (DVD, MPEG4 and others). Also it can process any audio track, much of processing options allows to adjust the sound in almost any way. It is possible to upmix any audio source to 6 channels. Filter can do multi-channel and digital (SPDIF) output. It can encode any audio source to AC3 on-the-fly and send it over SPDIF to the receiver. You can also choose the formats AC3Filter will decode, specifically Vorbis, LPCM, AC3, PCM, AAC, MPEG Audio, DTS and others. This audio compression format is compatible with DolbySurround, Dolby ProLogic and Dolby ProLogic II and is more and more used.

Notes: AC3Filter is available in two versions, AC3Filter full and AC3Filter lite. The full version comes bundled with the (now-defunct) OpenCandy, an adware module that includes unwanted third-party applications offers during the setup process. Because of that, we don't link to the AC3Filter full version anymore. Instead, users can download AC3Filter lite which is a virus free, fully working version of the same AC3Filter software.
